SLIK Pro CF-635

A very compact carbon fiber tripod, the Slik PRO CF-635 is for those who don't need a full-sized tripod but want something to hold their camera still in a wide variety of situations. The SLIK PRO CF-635 is extremely lightweight. It has five short leg sections extending to 51.5 inches and folding down to 14.5 inches for carrying and storage. Most noteworthy, the SLIK PRO CF-635 weighs only 1.9 lbs, but supports loads up to 6.6 lb, making it a great choice for travel. Use it in situations where a full-sized tripod would not be needed or convenient to carry.

All 600 series carbon fiber tripods have legs made up of carbon fiber material that is actually comprised of 8 layers of inter-woven carbon strands that are then bonded together in a sealed, high-pressure furnace producing strong, lightweight carbon fiber. The legs also feature A.R.S (Anti-Rotational System). This does not allow the individual leg sections to rotate inside each other.

Each leg also has an independent lock that sets in one of 3 angles to vary the height and stance of the tripod. The three settings are for maximum height, waist level, or low angle photography close to the ground. The four leg sections are secured and loosened with twist locks. Because the legs are non-rotating, you can unlock all of a leg’s stages at once by twisting the three large rubber grips with one hand. This enables fast setup.
